The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for tracking an individual issue of interest, which can accurately analyze a change in an individual interest through issue matching through topic analysis by detailed periods and deduction of an issue of interest by individual. The apparatus includes: a per detailed period dividing unit dividing the entirety of news belonging to an analysis period by detailed periods that are analysis units; a topic analyzing unit performing separately topic analysis for news by detailed periods; an inter document/issue matrix processing unit drawing a corresponding matrix between documents/issues through topic analysis; an inter document/individual matrix processing unit drawing a corresponding matrix between documents/individuals from a transaction in which an individual news access record is stored; an inter issue/individual matrix processing unit merging the inter document/issue matrix and the document/individual matrix to draw a corresponding matrix between issues/individuals; and an issue matching unit integrating the drawn corresponding matrix between issues/individuals from an individual point of view, and drawing an interest flow in each individual unit. |
