The invention relates to new types of polysiloxanes which contain at least one betaine group, and to a process for the preparation thereof. It also relates to the use of these polymers as care active ingredient in formulations, in particular for the care and cleaning of skin and skin appendages, such as, for example, as conditioning agent for hair.
