A torsional vibration damper, more particularly a dual mass flywheel, comprising an input part and an output part with a common axis of rotation about which the input part and the output part can turn together and have limited rotational freedom with respect to each other; a spring-damper arrangement operating between the input part and the output part and having at least one energy accumulator and a centrifugal pendulum device with at least one first pendulum mass that can move when acted upon by centrifugal force; wherein the centrifugal pendulum device switches automatically between a first natural frequency and a second natural frequency, resulting in a structurally and/or functionally improved torsion damper.
