In a microwave heating device including a roasting grid (4A, 4B) for placing an object to be heated thereon, the roasting grid includes an outer frame (21A, 21B) and a plurality of bridge members (20, 26, 27) formed from metal rod members which are across the outer frame. In the bridge members and in a closed loop having a single opening which is formed by the bridge members and the outer frame, a single side formed by one of the bridge members or one portion of the outer frame is made to have a length different from an integer multiple of 1 / 2 the wavelength of the microwave, and a single side formed by one of the bridge members or one portion of the outer frame which is contacted at its one end with a wall surface of a heating chamber and is placed at its other end within the heating chamber is made to have a length different from an integer multiple of 1/4 the wavelength of the microwave. This provides a microwave heating device with less energy losses and with higher efficiency. |
