PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent spread, to the outside, of a fire occurring inside a container of an electric storage device due to abnormality of lithium-ion batteries by directly extinguishing and suppressing the fire.SOLUTION: A plurality of lithium-ion batteries 26 of a cylindrical shape are alignedly stored in a battery storage part 11a in a body storage container 11 of an electric storage device 12, and a fire-extinguishing device 16 having a same-size cylindrical shape as that of the lithium-ion batteries 26 is disposed in an empty space of the battery storage part. The fire-extinguishing device 16 has a container filled with fire-extinguishing powder; when a heat-sensitive cable 64 detects a fire due to abnormality of the lithium-ion batteries, initiates ignition gunpowder to burn a solid fire-extinguishing agent; by a blast generated thereby and fire-extinguishing aerosol, pressurizes the fire-extinguishing powder; and releases the fire-extinguishing powder from a head part 40 to the battery storage part 11a. |
