PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect fire with high accuracy in various kinds of installation environments including various kinds of factors of error detection.SOLUTION: The fire detection device comprises: an image memory (10) for storing time series images and a reference image; and a fire detection part (30) for performing extraction processing of a feature amount on the basis of the time series images for one cycle and determining generation of fire. The fire detection part performs edge detection processing, extracts weak edge pixels whose edge intensity is predetermined intensity or lower, and counts the number of weak edge pixels existing in a small area whose center is the weak edge pixels, for calculating density of the weak edge as a feature amount, and determines generation of fire when the density of the weak edge is predetermined density or more. |
