摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum coated cobalt nickel composite hydroxide particle as a precursor for a cathode active material for non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery excellent in charge and discharge capacity, cycle property and high temperature storage property.SOLUTION: There is provided an Al coated composite hydroxide particle coated by a coating film consisting of Al or an Al compound by supplying a raw material solution containing Ni, Co and Mg to a reaction solution with limitation of temperature at 45°C to 55°C, pH value based on liquid temperature of 25°C at 10.8 to 11.8 and ammonium ion concentration at 8 g/L to 12 g/L in inert atmosphere to obtain a nickel cobalt composite hydroxide particle by a batch type crystallization method, mixing a slurry containing the nickel cobalt composite hydroxide particle and a coating solution containing Al to form a mixture solution. There is provided a lithium nickel composite oxide particle-containing cathode active material using the Al coated composite hydroxide particle as a precursor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
