<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data storage apparatus for quickly detecting a mounting error of a storage device before completing system boot to notify a user thereof in processing in the data storage apparatus side with a built-in storage device. <P>SOLUTION: RFID tags 12 and 10 are disposed in each storage device 2 and 3, and RFID reader/writers 13 and 9 in a casing 4 side are driven in remounting the storage devices 2 and 3 to confirm information of the ID tags 12 and 10 of each the storage device 2 and 3, thereby determining whether the mounting position of the each storage device 2 and 3 is appropriate or not. Only in the case of a mounting error, an alarm means 19 is activated to notify the user of the mounting error of the storage devices 2 and 3, so that the mounting error can be accurately grasped without monitoring the behavior in the system start or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
