PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make energy saving performance and usability of an image forming device compatible as well when driven with a battery.SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises: an operating portion which receives operation by a user; a human body-sensing sensor which senses approaching and separating of a person; a power control portion which when the human body-sensing sensor senses the approaching of a person or when the operating portion is operated, returns the image forming device to a predetermined power state; a main power source; an auxiliary power source which is charged with power from the main power source and supplies the charged power; a detecting portion which detects whether a power supply origin is either the main power source or the auxiliary power source; and a sensor adjusting portion that when the power supply origin detected by the detecting portion is the auxiliary power source, changes a detection distance to be set in the human body-sensing sensor to a detection distance according to residual power capacities of the auxiliary power source.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
