Provided is a welding method which comprises bringing into contact a first member (110) made of resin and a second member (120) made of resin, and applying heat and pressure with a welding punch (210) to a side surface section relative to a contact section, to weld the first member (110) and the second member (120) together. The welding method comprises: providing, in a side surface section, a protruding section (112) in the first member (110) and forming beforehand a stepped difference (132) between the first member (110) and the second member (120); forming beforehand, in a distal end of the welding punch (210), a punch recess (211) to be filled with a melt section; crushing the protruding section (112) of the first member (110) toward a second member (120)) side within the punch recess (211) by applying pressure on the welding punch (210); and filling in the punch recess (211) with a melt section of the first member (110) and a melt section of the second member (120), with an outer peripheral side edge (212) of the punch recess (211) being driven into the first member (110) and the second member (120). |
