PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transverse sealing device capable of significantly reducing the man-hour and time required for changing a width of a transverse seal portion, and easily and rapidly changing the width, while sufficiently preventing increase in facility cost and management cost.SOLUTION: In a transverse sealing device, an elongated packaging film 6 delivered and traveled in a longitudinal direction and disposed facing an adhesive layer or a sealant layer has one or more heat seal bars 12a extending in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the packaging film. Transverse seal portions are formed at intervals in the longitudinal direction of the packaging film 6 by a pair of transverse seal rollers 12 disposed in parallel to each other. The paired transverse seal rollers 12 to be rotated in opposite directions are connected to independent driving means 16, respectively. The device includes a control meas 18 which relatively advances or delays the rotating angle position of one transverse seal roller 12 for a required angle range relative to the other transverse seal roller 12. |
