<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a picture is turned to be extremely difficult to see since the data quantity of data to be recorded for high speed reproduction depends on inputted picture data, and a picture updating speed at the time of high speed reproduction is not made fixed. SOLUTION: The variable length codes of inputted data for high speed reproduction corresponding to prescribed AC components are erased. In this case, a data reduction rate indicating the number of the AC components to be erased is made variable, and the data reduction rate is controlled so that the data can be converted into data for high speed reproduction with desired data quantity. Thus, the data quantity of one picture for high speed reproduction can be made fixed, and the picture updating speed can be made fixed.</p> |
