PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a technique capable of proposing as a sales object a flight whose vacant seats are highly likely to remain unsold, and of promoting the sales of vacant seats by allowing the degree of freedom in price setting.SOLUTION: A vacant seat sales system 10 includes: transmission means for transmitting a retrieval condition specification screen 50 to a client terminal 38; extraction means for extracting, with reference to an airline ticket stock storage section 26 and a vacant seat probability storage section 27, as a plurality of forward flight candidates, flights that match a retrieval condition, whose vacant seats are presently available, and whose vacancy probability on the departure day is a prescribed value or more; price calculation means for calculating common prices applied to the candidates; transmission means for transmitting a retrieval result screen 72 including the candidates and the common prices described therein; and storage means for storing application information containing the plurality of flight candidates and the like at the time of completion of settlement. The price calculation means calculates a common price by assigning a normal price on the fixing date and the vacancy probability on the departure day of each of the candidates to a calculation formula. At this time, used is the calculation formula which makes the price lower as the number of destination airports that can be allowed increases, and which makes the price higher as the number of airports that can be allowed decreases. |
