PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focal-plane shutter in which energization time and consumption power can be decreased, and a blade bound caused by impact at the end of exposing travelling can be surely prevented to block the returning of blade.SOLUTION: In a focal-plane shutter, an engaging mechanism capable of rotating around the axis comprises: an engaging lever including a first engaging part which engages with a first engaged part of a first driving member so as to inhibit rotation of the first driving member in the set direction, and a permanent magnet; an electric magnet which generates magnetic force against the permanent magnet by energizing in one side direction in which the engaging lever is rotated to switch between a direction where the first engaged part is engaged and a direction where the first engaged part is disengaged according to switchover between energizing in one side direction of the electric magnet and terminating energization; and an engaging position forcible recovery mechanism in which the engaging lever is rotated in the direction where the first engaged part is disengaged by the first driving member rotating in the exposure actuation direction, and the engaging lever is forcibly returned to the position where the first engaged part is engaged by the first driving member attaining the exposure actuation end position. |
