PURPOSE:To nearly completely suppress the occurrence of the reflection and cross talk of high-speed signals by providing plate-shaped terminals connected to the ground potential between and outside signal terminal lines of a plug and a jack. CONSTITUTION:A plug connector 22 is planted in alignment with plug terminals 23 each formed into a plug contact 23a at one end and an outer connecting terminal 23b at the other end. A jack connector 31 is planted with jack terminals 32 each formed into a jack contact 32a at one end and an outer connecting terminal 32b at the other end. Metal plates 25, 26 are fixed to the connector 32 on both sides and between the aligned plug terminal 23 lines, and jack metal plates 34, 35 are arranged on the connector 31 at the positions corresponding to the metal plates 25, 26. The corresponding plates 25, 26 and plates 34, 35 are brought into contact with each other when the connectors 22, 31 are coupled. The peripheries of the terminals 23, 32 connecting high-speed signals are surrounded by the ground potential, and the signal reflection and cross talk do not occur. |
