Process for drying the polymorph I of the anhydrate of 2-Chloro-N-(4'- chlorobipheny1-2-y1)-nicotinamide (boscalid) of the formula: is provided, the process comprising: a) in a first stage heating the polymorph I of the anhydrate of boscalid to a first temperature and removing organic solvent from the anhydrate of boscalid at the first temperature; and b) in a second stage heating the anhydrate of boscalid product of the first stage to a second temperature, the second temperature being higher than the first temperature, and removing further organic solvent from the anhydrate of boscalid at the second temperature. The process may comprise an optional third stage c) wherein the product of the second stage is heated to a third temperature, the third temperature being higher than the second temperature, and removing further organic solvent from the anhydrate of boscalid at the third temperature. |
