<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a saccharide chain polymer comprising a copolymer of a saccharide chain-containing styrene derivative and a vinyl-based monomer having a site with a second action, useful as a cell recovering agent for selectively recovering a target cell. CONSTITUTION: This saccharide chain polymer is a copolymer comprising (A) a saccharide chain-containing styrene derivative and (B) a vinyl-based monomer having a site (preferably at least one of preferably vitamins, medicine, cytokinin, growth factor, flavonoid, nucleic acid and peptide or one nonspecifically acting on a cell specifically recognizing the saccharide chain, etc.) with at least one second action and shown by the formula. For example, a cell recognizing agent is obtained from a saccharide chain polymer composed of RGDSG peptide as the site having the second action. A gelatinous cell culture substrate is obtained from a complex of a saccharide chain polymer having a basic group forming the complex with an acidic polysaccharide as the site and the acidic polysaccharide.</p> |
