An outside mirror apparatus for rear-vision and confirmation of the positional relationship between the back of vehicle and the surroundings thereof. A mirror 11 is supported by supporting rods 8. The supporting rods 8 are telescopic and drived by a telescopic motion driving means 13. Owing to the driving means 13, the supporting rods 8 are extended or shrinked. When vehicle turns around a corner, the positional relationship between the back of the vehicle and the surroundings thereof can be seen with the mirror 11, thus enhancing safety in driving the same. <IMAGE>
