Provided are a decoding method and system for use when a QR code position detection graph is damaged. The method comprises: conducting binarization on an image containing a QR code graph, and searching for a position detection graph; if the number of position detection graphs found is two, then decoding the QR code graph in the following way: making statistics to obtain an equation and vertex coordinates of a line in which a boundary line of the two position detection graphs is located, and calculating a data bit width of the QR code graph, and judging a position relationship between the two position detection graphs is a neighbour relationship or a diagonal relationship according to geometric relationships; finding out a positioning graph between the two position detection graphs between which the position relationship has already been determined; determining a region in which the QR code graph is located according to the two position detection graphs and the positioning graph; conducting grid division on the region in which the QR code graph is located; and decoding the QR code graph having been subjected to the grid division. The present invention has the advantages of having a high decoding efficiency and a small error for a QR code image with one position detection graph damaged. |
