This distance measurement device includes: an imaging unit; a measurement unit that emits a directional light on a subject and measures the distance from the subject by receiving reflected light of the directional light; a changing unit that can change the angle of emission of the directional light; a derivation unit that, on the basis of the angle and the distance measured by the measurement unit, derives an irradiation location in an image, said location corresponding to the location of irradiation of the subject by the directional light used for measurement in a captured image; and a control unit that performs control such that, if the irradiation location in the image is outside a predetermined range in the captured image, the measurement unit is made to measure distance until the irradiation location in the image enters the predetermined range, and the derivation unit is made to derive the irradiation location in the image on the basis of the distance measured by the measurement unit and the angle changed by the changing unit. |
