The present invention detects, by a simple configuration, the capacitance distribution between each of the detection electrodes on a touch panel and an object to be detected. One of a plurality of drive sense switching elements (DST) selected via control lines (DSS(0) to DSS(K-1)) on the basis of a code sequence is turned on, and drive sense lines (DS0 to DS(M-1)) are driven with a first potential. The difference between linear sum signals based on the electric charge of each detection electrode (E) is then read out. The capacitance or a change in capacitance between each of the detection electrodes of a touch panel and an object to be detected is then detected on the basis of the calculation of the sum of products of the code sequence and the difference between linear sum signals. |
