LOCATION SUGGESTION BASED UPON SOCIAL NETWORKING POST CONTENT

Exemplary methods, apparatuses, and systems receive input associated with a social networking system user account. The input includes content to be published to the social networking system. In response to the received input, one or more location suggestions are identified based upon the content. The one or more identified location suggestions are transmitted to a user device associated with the user account. Selection of a location suggestion is received. The content and selected location is published as a post within the social networking system.

1. A computer-implemented method comprising:
receiving, from a user device, a request associated with a user account to publish a location to a communication system; determining, in response to the received request to publish the location, that a photograph was published to the communication system in association with the user account and that:
(a) time metadata for the photograph is within a threshold period of time of the received request, or(b) location metadata for the photograph is within a threshold distance of the location; transmitting, to the user device in response to the determination, a request to associate the photograph with location within the communication system; receiving, from the user device, a command to publish the location to the communication system; and publishing the location within the communication system and associating the photograph with the location within the communication system.
