PURPOSE:To speed up analog input control and to improve flexibility by utilizing fast functions of an ROM and an RAM effectively, and dividing the role into two so that a microprocessor is put in charge of only the control over the whole. CONSTITUTION:A timing signal which drives respective means 1-5 for processing an analog input is generated by the combination of an ROM13 as the 1st storage means and counters 14 and 22 which specify its address. An input point number and gain selection data on a corresponding programmable gain amplifier 2 vary according to the specification of the circuits 1-5. Consequently, those pieces of information are written and stored in an RAM18 as the 2nd storage means, and read out and latched by the counter 22 which specifies their addresses. Then, they are supplied to an MPX1 and the circuit 2 with the timing signal of the ROM13. Consequently, the fast functions of the ROM and RAM are utilized effectively for places where fast processing is required, and the microprocessor only controls the whole to improve the efficiency of the processing.
