The present invention relates to a flexible electric field capacitive coupled energy transfer means formed from a conductive metal coated flexible material or flexible metallic net. The improved energy transfer means is flexible, porous, light and easy to manipulate treatment electrode and is used in non-invasive electrical field hyperthermia.

1. An electromagnetic energy transfer means for use in hyperthermia therapy, the electromagnetic energy transfer means comprising at least two conductive metal electrode materials in a condenser arrangement,
wherein the at least two conductive metal electrode materials comprise: a metallic coating on a surface of a flexible carrier forming a coated flexible carrier, or a woven structure of metallic fibers forming a metallic net, wherein the coated flexible carrier or metallic net is porous and allows the movement of water and perspiration there through; wherein the coated flexible carrier or metallic net is not insulated from a patient's skin during use and wherein the electromagnetic energy transfer means uses radiofrequencies in the range of 10 KHz to 50 MHz; and wherein the coated flexible carrier or the metallic net comprises multiple positive and negative sections or multiple positive and negative electrodes which are arrayed in an alternating positive and negative section arrangement or positive and negative electrode arrangement; wherein the electromagnetic energy transfer means is a capacitive coupled energy transfer means that is equipotential over its total surface, and wherein the woven structure of metallic fibers forming a metallic net is a textile consisting of a plurality of single fibers wherein one set of the single fibers extends along the complete length of the textile in a substantially parallel manner while the other set of fibers is arranged in a substantially parallel manner diagonal to the first set of fibers.
