A bispecific antibody format devoid of an active Fc moiety comprising a monovalent binding site for a death receptor and at least one binding site for a cell surface antigen expressed on B-cells, for use in the treatment or prevention of B cell mediated autoimmune diseases.

A method for the treatment of a B-cell-mediated autoimmune disease comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a bispecific antibody devoid of an active Fc moiety, wherein the antibody comprises a monovalent binding site for a B-cell CD95 death receptor and at least one binding site for a cell surface antigen expressed on B-cells to a subject in need thereof, wherein the cell surface antigen is selected from the group consisting of CD19, CD20 and CD40.
