Electrodes; separators.-A storage battery is provided with electrodes consisting of trays 8 of lead antimony alloy filled with active material, adjacent trays being separated by frames comprising bars 11 and arms 11<b> having upwardly and downwardly extending projections lie at the ends. Alternate trays are connected by projections 12 to vertical connectors 13 passing through the battery cover and carrying the terminals 14. Insulating sheets 18 are inserted between the trays and connectors 13. Fig. 4 shows a method of connecting the trays to the connectors 13 in which the latter pass through openings in extensions on the trays and are secured by screws 24. |
