Soaking device which is a part of an automatic soaking machine for cleaning and soaking dried beans such as soya beans. The soaking device comprises a container 327 for holding beans inside a water holding container 328, with a cavity 330 between the two containers or cups, and a lid 301 to cover the two cups. The bean container has drain holes 331 in the base. A water inlet and outlet device 305 with electric pump and electromagnetic valves circulates water through the containers to first clean and drain the beans to remove impurities, and then to soak the beans. A motorised swinging arm 306 with a water intake and a water outtake path is connected to the water inlet and outlet device. The swing arm may have a water level monitor. |
