1. An information processing apparatus comprising:
one or more processors; and a memory storing instructions which, when executed by the processor, cause the information processing apparatus to function as: an obtaining unit that obtains information on a peripheral device by short distance wireless communication; a first determination unit that determines whether the obtained information contains a network address of the peripheral device; a second determination unit that determines whether or not the obtained information contains identification information of the peripheral device in a case where the first determination unit determines that the obtained information does not contain the network address of the peripheral device; and a search unit that searches for peripheral devices on a network and identifies, from among the peripheral devices, a peripheral device to which the same identification information as the obtained information contains has been set in a case where the second determination unit determines that the obtained information contains identification information and an instruction to search for a peripheral device is made.
