Disclosed are a method and apparatus for answering an external incoming call. The method comprises: by receiving information about external incoming calls, acquiring contact modes of the external incoming calls and the number of external incoming calls according to the information about the external incoming calls; in the case where the number of external incoming calls exceeds a pre-set number of times, starting wearing detection; and if it is detected that a user is wearing a smart terminal, acquiring physiological data of the user, and sending the physiological data to a contact corresponding to the external incoming calls. In this way, by means of an elderly person wearing a mobile terminal that can detect the physiological data, in the case where a set specific contact makes a call but the call does not get through, and the contact makes repeated calls, wearing data and other physiological data when being worn are automatically fed back, giving notification of the state of a current wearer. |
