An optical module, relating to the field of optical communications. The optical module comprises a circuit board (1), an optical transmitter (2)/optical receiver, and a lens component (3), wherein the optical transmitter (2)/optical receiver is located on the surface of the circuit board (1); the lens component (3) covers over the optical transmitter (2)/optical receiver, and the lens component (3) changes the propagation direction of light; a first metallic layer (11) is provided on the edge of the lens component (3), a second metallic layer (10) is provided on the surface of the circuit board (1), and the first metallic layer (11) is connected to the second metallic layer (10) by means of welding, such that the lens component (3) is fixed on the circuit board (1). The propagation direction of light changes after the light passes through the lens component (3). Besides, a welded connection reduces the offset between an actual installation position and a preset installation position. |
