Formulation for an adhesive composition, comprises a first component comprising at least one amino resin, which is a condensation product of an aldehyde with a compound comprising urea, melamine, benzoguanamine, glycoluril and/or acetoguanamine, and at least one polyether comprising at least one ethylene oxide and at least one isocyanate-reactive group comprising hydroxy, amino, epoxy and thiol. Independent claims are also included for: (1) adhesive composition obtainable by mixing the first component with a second component of the formulation; (2) producing wood materials from lignocellulose containing comminution products for producing oriented strand board, wood fiber board and particle board, comprising contacting the lignocellulose containing comminution products with formulation or adhesive composition, and pressing the resulting mixture under heat treatment; (3) wood material comprising the adhesive composition and/or obtainable by above method in the form of fiber boards, preferably high-density fiberboard and medium-density fiberboard, or in the form of oriented strand board; and (4) producing adhesive compositions comprising amino resin and a second adhesive, comprising mixing the amino resin with the polyether, and mixing the obtained urea/polyether mixture with the second adhesive. |
