摘要 A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery has both high capacity and high regeneration. A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The positive electrode contains a Ni-containing lithium transition metal oxide having a layered structure and also contains a tungsten compound and/or a molybdenum compound. The percentage of Ni is greater than 90 mole percent with respect to the molar amount of the lithium transition metal oxide. The amount of the compound is 0.1 mole percent to 1.5 mole percent with respect to the molar amount of the lithium transition metal oxide in terms of tungsten element and/or molybdenum element.
