366,950. Dynamo-electric machines. AKTIEBOLAGET LJUNGSTROMS ANGTURBIN, 17, Vastra Tradgardsgatan, Stockholm. Nov. 5, 1930, No. 33271. Convention date, Dec. 13, 1929. [Class 35.] Casings; cooling.-In a dynamoelectric machine having the casing 6 and the air channels 14, 16 formed by plates welded together, the air leaving coolers 11, 12 (and two others not shown) proceeds along channels 14 and is distributed to ducts in the stator core, and part of it then flows outwards to ducts 16 and the remainder flows along the air gap 15 to the coolers. The axial channels 14, 16 are alternately arranged round the circumference of the casing and communicate with different sets of stator ducts. The air reaching the channels 16 returns to the coolers as indicated by the arrows 16a. The casing 13 in which the air coolers are located may also be constructed of welded sheet metal, and the machine casing may be suspended from the casing of a turbine. Specifications 355,658 and 355,677 are referred to.
