The purpose of the present invention is to provide an engine device capable of implementing a stable operation motion when switching operation modes. An engine device 21 is provided with: an intake manifold 67 for feeding air into a cylinder 77; an exhaust manifold 44 for discharging an exhaust gas from the cylinder 77; a gas injector 98 for mixing a gaseous fuel into the air fed from the intake manifold 67; and a main fuel injection valve 79 for injecting a liquid fuel into the cylinder 77 and combusting the liquid fuel. When the operation mode is switched from a gas mode to a diesel mode or vice versa, and the engine rotation speed is determined to have approached an upper-bound value for urgently stopping the engine device, the operation mode is immediately switched to the diesel mode. |
