A system 10 includes an exhaust conduit 26 that routes an exhaust gas 22 from an engine 16 to a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) 18. The system 10 may has a coolant supply 14 coupled to the exhaust conduit 26. The coolant supply 14 supplies a coolant to the exhaust conduit 26. The system 10 has a controller 12 that controls the coolant supply to control an exhaust temperature of the exhaust gas 22 flowing through the exhaust conduit 26 from the engine 16 to the HRSG 18, or a steam temperature of steam 24 generated by the HRSG 18, or a combination thereof. The controller 18 also controls the coolant supply 14 differently in a full load condition 148 relative to a part load condition 150 of the system. |
