The invention relates to pheromone preparation for protection of wood species with attractive and aggregating effect against pests of Monochamus galloprovicialis genus, containing 2-dodecyloxy-1-ethanol as an active component. Furthermore, the invention relates to method of wood species protection against this pest using the 2-dodecyloxy-1-ethanol as a separate substance or in mixture with other active substances.
