PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skid control device that detects abnormality of a skid preventive valve before performing a brake command.SOLUTION: A skid preventive valve is constituted of a supply stop valve 12 and an exhaust valve 13. The skid preventive valve stops supply of working fluid from a brake control device 5 to a brake cylinder 4 and exhausts the working fluid from the brake cylinder 4. A differential pressure detecting portion 14 detects differential pressure between pressure of the working fluid between the brake control device 5 and the skid preventive valve and pressure between the skid preventive valve and the brake cylinder 4. An inshot control portion 16, while not braking rotation of a wheel 2, applies pressurization of the working fluid from the brake control device 5 to the brake cylinder 4 to such a degree that a brake block 3 does not apply resistance to the rotation of the wheel 2. A failure determining portion 15 determines that the skid preventive valve is abnormal when an absolute value of the differential pressure exceeds a predetermined value without activating the skid preventive valve. |
