In order to avoid complicating a wiring configuration, a vehicle door lock device 1 is provided with: a connection part to which a connector is connected; a casing 10; a latch mechanism 4 disposed on the rear-end part of the casing, the latch mechanism having a latch 43 and a ratchet 44; a locking/unlocking mechanism 6 having a lever lock 63 and a motor 68 for driving the lever lock, the locking/unlocking mechanism being disposed inside the casing; a first switch 13 for detecting the rotation position of the lever lock; a second switch 14 for detecting the rotation position of the latch; and a connection means 5. The connection means includes: a first connection means 7 disposed in the vehicle-longitudinal-direction front part inside the casing, the first connection means connecting the connection part, the motor, and the first switch; and a second connection means 8 disposed in the vehicle-longitudinal rear part inside the casing, the second connection means connecting the first connection means and the second switch. |
