Provided is a fluid dynamic bearing device wherein: an outer member (20) comprises an outside outer member (20a) and an inside outer member (26b), the inside outer member (26b) being provided with a radial bearing surface (29R) and one thrust bearing surface (23T), the outside outer member (20b) being provided with the other thrust bearing surface (22T); at least a part of an inner member (10), which forms a radial bearing surface (11R) and thrust bearing surfaces (12T, 13T), is made of a sintered metal; an inner peripheral surface (21) of the outside outer member (20a) and an outer peripheral surface (27) of the inside outer member (20b) are assembled by being fitted to each other; and at least one of the inner peripheral surface (21) of the outside outer member (20a) and the outer peripheral surface (27) of the inside outer member (20b) comprises a projection portion (21a, 27a) for temporary fixation. |
