PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet transmitter which suppress a start-up delay.SOLUTION: A packet transmitter 1 comprises: an AV encoder 11 which encodes input signals to generate access units to which CTS and DTS are added; multiplexing means 12 which multiplexes access units of images and voice; blocking means 13 which generates an AL-FEC block that is an aggregation of source packets; AL-FEC processing means 14 which generates redundant packets by applying an AL-FEC process to the AL-FEC block; time-stamp adding means 15 which extracts a CTS or a DTS that is the earliest time from an access unit stored in a payload of a source packet included in the AL-FEC block and adds it as a time-stamp to the redundant packet of the AL-FEC block; and transmitting means 16 which transmits the source packets and the redundant packets.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
