PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chaperonin complex capable of encapsulating metal nano particles with excellent efficiency.SOLUTION: A chaperonin complex comprises: a chaperonin variant; and metal nano particles. The chaperonin variant comprises a plurality of GroEL subunits containing at least one GroEL subunit variant selected from the group comprising: a first GroEL subunit variant that consists of a specific amino acid sequence; and a second GroEL subunit variant that consists of an amino acid sequence in which one or more amino acid residues other than an alanine residue lying at a specific position are substituted, deleted, or added, among the amino acid sequences, and that has molecular chaperone activity. The metal nano particles are surrounded with the plurality of GroEL subunits. |
