PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water pump improved in discharge efficiency by preventing water from flowing toward an impeller from a spiral part.SOLUTION: The water pump comprises an impeller 3 arranged rotatably in the inside of a housing 4. The housing 4 has an internal space in which the impeller 3 is arranged, a suction port for introducing water into the internal space, and a discharge port 8 for discharging water from the internal space to the outside. The internal space has the spiral part 11 which is defined in a spiral shape between the impeller 3 and an inner wall 4c of the housing 4 so that a distance between the impeller 3 and the inner wall 4c gradually increases. The discharge port 8 is formed at a terminal end of the spiral part 11, and a guide wall 12 for guiding water W imparted with centrifugal force to prevent the same from flowing in an impeller 3 side from the spiral part 11 is formed in a manner that at least the discharge port 8 is hidden from the impeller 3 side. |
