An apparatus comprises a first detector mounted on a sliding bar and an electromagnetic source including a collimator to generate an exposure window. The apparatus comprises a control system configured to slide linearly the first detector along the sliding bar and synchronously move the collimator to direct the exposure window to the first detector. The movements of the exposure window are registered to movements of the first detector.

a first detector mounted on a bar; an x-ray source comprising a collimator to generate an x-ray exposure window; and a control system configured to cause:
linear movement of the first detector along the bar;rotational movement of the first detector, the bar and the x-ray source around the linear movement of the first detector;move synchronously the collimator to direct the x-ray exposure window to the first detector; andregister the exposure window to movements of the first detector.
