Example methods, apparatuses, or articles of manufacture are disclosed herein that may be utilized, in whole or in part, to facilitate or otherwise support one or more operations or techniques for use in associating (tagging) a signal observation with a location tag, such as, for example, with a mobile communication device.

1. A method comprising, at a mobile device:
obtaining a location tag for use in tagging one or more signal observations obtained via a sensor within the mobile device or co-located with the mobile device while the mobile device is present at a predetermined location and in response to an event; in response to a determination that the event has occurred, obtaining the one or more signal observations; identifying the one or more signal observations as being associated with the location tag in a message; and providing the message to a server.
