The present invention relates to an authentication server using sound identification information, comprising: an authentication DB for storing one or more pieces of predetermined sound identification information for authenticating one or more products; and an authentication module for, if an authentication request signal including pre-generated product sound information as authentication identification information of a particular product is received via a communication network from a consumer terminal forming a network, determining the particular product as a genuine product and sending, to the consumer terminal, an authentication signal with respect to the particular product only when the received product sound information matches any one of sound identification information stored in the authentication DB. The present invention, may provide an authentication server and method using sound identification information, which are able to protect trademarks from non-genuine products which are illegally replicated, to expect an increase in sales of genuine products by way of the trademark protection of genuine products, and to reduce costs due to an introduction of an additional authentication system. |
