A method for transmitting a message, said message coming from a server of a merchant, who wishes to transmit this message to a user having a communications terminal, at least a part of the content of said message being transmitted to said communications terminal indirectly by using at least one data transmission service proper to a server of a banking institution with which said user possesses a bank account, said method comprising the following steps, executed after a step for receiving a confirmation of a financial transaction performed between said banking institution of said user and a banking institution of said merchant:
transmitting a request for obtaining said message to a server of said merchant; receiving a response, containing said message, coming from said server of said merchant; and transmitting a second message comprising at least one part of the content of said message, to said communications terminal of said user.
