COMPOUND HAVING PRESERVATIVE QUALITY AND PREPARATION AND USE THEREOF

A compound having a preservative quality comprises: 0.5-10 parts by weight of carboxymethyl chitosan; 10-80 parts by weight of 1,2-pentanediol; 10-80 parts by weight of 1,2-octanediol; 10-80 parts by weight of dl-1,2-hexanediol; 1-30 parts by weight of 1,2-propanediol; 1-30 parts by weight of 1,3-butanediol; and 1-30 parts by weight of glycerol. A preparation method of the compound comprises: mixing the above components in parts by weights; and stirring the mixture until complete dissolution of the components. The compound having a preservative quality can be used as a preservative in a cosmetic product and makes up 0.1-5% of a content of the cosmetic product.
