The objective of the present invention is to provide a lighting unit such that light distribution control with sufficient performance can be carried out without causing the performance of dividing the regions being irradiated to deteriorate even in regions that are away from the optical axis. In order to achieve the objective, this lighting unit comprises: a plurality of light sources; a first optical member having formed thereon optical elements for controlling light and corresponding to the plurality of light sources; and a second optical member (4) whereby the light from the light sources enters and exits via the first optical member. The second optical member is constituted in such a manner that the power on the light entry side is greater than the power on the light exit side. This allows a lighting unit to be provided such that the light from the light sources can be used efficiently, and light distribution control can be carried out without deteriorating the performance to divide the regions being irradiated even in regions that are away from the optical axis. |
