PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite activated carbon material capable of avoiding the adsorption performance degradation of activated carbon without using a binder and exhibiting, by directly supporting a crystalline inorganic material on the activated carbon surface, a composite adsorption aptitude with an enhanced stability as an adsorbent; and a method for manufacturing the same; as well as a filter body including the same.SOLUTION: The provided composite activated carbon material M is manufactured by a manufacturing method for forming, on the surface of activated carbon based on the flux method, a crystal of an alkali metal titanate comprising an impregnation step of obtaining an impregnated activated carbon by impregnating activated carbon AC with an aqueous alkali metal salt solution (S1), a mixing step of obtaining an activated carbon mixture by adding titanium oxide and a flux agent to the impregnated activated carbon (S2), and a heating step of obtaining, by heating the activated carbon mixture, a composite activated carbon material wherein a columnar or acicular crystal of an alkali metal titanate has been formed on the surface of the activated carbon as a result of the reaction of the alkali metal salt with the titanium oxide (S3); the composite activated carbon material M is integrated with a filter body as an adsorbent. |
