摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nanofiber having high fiber characteristics and its manufacturing method using &bgr;-1,3-glucan as a raw material.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a nanofiber having a triple helix structure composed of &bgr;-1,3-glucan, and a hydroxyl group at 6-position in a glucose residue of the &bgr;-1,3-glucan is substituted by an acyl group represented by -CO-R, where R is a hydrocarbon group substituted by one or more dissociative groups selected from a group consisting of a carboxylic acid group, a sulfonic acid group, a phosphate group, a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, and a thiol group, and a weight average molecular weight of the &bgr;-1,3-glucan is in the range of 1×10to 2×10.
